1996 to Present - Corporate Secretary and Managing Right of Way Agent - JCG -  Works with landowners or their attorneys, local public authorities, and clients on land acquisition and relocation assistance projects. Experienced with urban renewal relocation assistance projects and utility right of way acquisition.

1991 to 1996 - Real Estate Right of Way Representative - IES Industries, Inc. Assignments included negotiations, titles and closings, work with landowners, clients, attorneys, local authorities, publishers, service agents and other departments on land acquisition. Supervised District Technicians in distribution of easement procurement as well as tracking of projects. Governmental affairs assignments included lobbying, tracking of legislation that impacted real estate right of way, and interacting with the various state departments (IUB, DNR, IDOT).

1986 to 1991 - 2nd Step Journeyman Lineman, Iowa Southern Utilities.

1972 to 1986 - Decatur County Engineer’s Office - Drafting, Instrumentation, and Inspector. Responsibilities included surveying, drafting, staking right of way, construction project inspection, coordinating with the Iowa Department of Transportation, and auditing closing of projects. Projects included asphalt and concrete paving, bridges, culverts, land cells, new building layout, and inspection of 24" pipeline for the County and Soil Conservation Service throughout the county.
