About Us

Gene M. Asklof, Carrol D. McCracken, and Jay P. Walton originally established the Right of Way Department in February of 1990, as part of a Marshalltown, Iowa, and Ames, Iowa, based consulting engineering firm. In December of 1993, the current organization was formed and located in Ankeny, Iowa, until relocation in October 2000 to Nevada, Iowa.

In 2009, we opened a second office in Cedar Rapids Iowa.

The firm provides professional consulting, land acquisition, appraisal, relocation assistance and right of way services to a variety of clients including cities, counties, State and Federal agencies, consulting engineering firms, utility companies, and land developers.
